Junior Trojans top RedHawks in championship

Tweet ThisIn an eastern Ontario battle of junior football league champions, the Gananoque Secondary School Trojans overcame a bit of a slow start to defeat the RedHawks of Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute 29-6 at home Thursday afternoon, Nov. 19.
Ryan Dorey scored three touchdowns for the victors who dominated the second of the game, after building a 14-6 lead by the end of the second quarter.
Following the game and trophy presentation, the players boarded a Gananoque Fire Department ladder truck for the traditional parade through the downtown.
