Funeral today for retired firefighter

Tweet ThisEMC News - A funeral will be held today (Thursday, Jan. 28) for a long-serving, retired member of the Brockville Fire Department who died earlier this week.
Retired captain Brian Heaton, 63, died on Sunday, Jan. 24 from colon cancer. Heaton joined the fire department in 1980 and served until 2005 when he retired with the rank of captain.
The funeral is scheduled to be held at the Barclay Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Jan. 28. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Further arrangements have not been announced.
