Avoiding thrush in breastfeeding moms and babies subject of meeting

Posted Mar 4, 2010 By EMC News

EMC Events - The La Leche League Canada - Brockville Group welcomes pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to drop in to our monthly gatherings to learn and share.

Our next topic on Wednesday, March 10 will be "Preventing and Treating Thrush." From time to time, thrush can be a nuisance when mothers breastfeed their babies. We will share tips about avoiding, recognizing, and treating thrush so that women can continue to enjoy breastfeeding their babies. Women are also encouraged to bring their own breastfeeding questions and concerns. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., mothers are welcome to chat with the accredited leader, browse our lending library, and socialize.

La Leche League Canada - Brockville Group meets the second Wednesday of every month at OEYC, 166 Pearl St. East, Brockville. Our free, informal drop-in gatherings are open to any woman interested in learning more about breastfeeding. They are welcome to look through our resources, enjoy refreshments, meet other breastfeeding mothers in the community, and ask any breastfeeding questions. Pregnant women are especially encouraged to come, and babies are always welcome as well.

For meeting information or breastfeeding help, please call Julie at 613-925-0067.
