Wine tasting fundraiser should be a vintage event
Posted Mar 4, 2010 By EMC NewsEMC Events - Last year's wine tasting fundraiser for the Brockville General Hospital (BGH) was attended by over 200 people and successfully raised $10,153.
The event was organized by a very dedicated group of volunteers, the same volunteers who are committed to making this year's fundraiser just as successful.
The Brockville Cardiovascular Program is not government funded and relies on the support of the community for its success.
The centre includes treadmills, exercise bicycles and other equipment. The program is opened three days a week.
The program includes monitored individual exercise sessions, psychosocial counselling, nutritional counselling, stress management, vocational training, group education and support groups. BGH's multidisciplinary team includes internists, a cardiologist, physiotherapists, a dietitian, nurse, respiratory therapist and pharmacist.
The Second Annual Wine Tasting will be held on April 22 at the BGH at the Ground Floor cafeteria from 6 to 8 p.m. and will once again be in support of the Brockville Cardiovascular Program
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at Ripnet, 101 Water St. W., 613-342-9196, or the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation, 75 Charles St., 613-345-4478.
