Augusta Township hosts Mayors' Breakfast
Posted Feb 16, 2012 By EMC NewsEMC News - The Augusta Township Economic Development and Tourism Committee will host its second annual Mayors' Economic Development Update Breakfast, Friday March 2, at 7:30 a.m. at the Grenville Snowmobile Club, 4901 Charlieville Road, RR 2 Prescott.
The price is $5 for a hot buffet breakfast.
The purpose of the breakfast is to provide residents and businesses with an economic update from the mayors and economic development leaders in our community. All mayors have been invited to attend, with three mayors bringing an economic update from their respective community.
They are: Mel Campbell, Reeve of Augusta Township and Warden of the United Counties, Jill Eagle CAO Merrickville-Wolford, Jim Pickard, Mayor Elizabethtown-Kitley.
Providing updates from their organizations are: AnnWeir, Manager of Economic Development for the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and Heather Lawless Executive Director of the Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation and Tom Russell of the Thousand Islands Community Development Corporation. Alicia Wanless, St. Lawrence War of 1812 bicentennial will provide a brief update.
MP Gord Brown and MPP Steve Clark are expected to be in attendance.
The breakfast is sponsored by Burnbrae Farms and the Egg Farmers of Ontario.
